“I never thought of it that way”. It is never really something you think about having a concept for a metaphor of a metaphor. I really find it interesting that Erard would think more deeply into metaphors as they are a metaphor within themself. However, I see how this is how you can give metaphors a much deeper meaning than intended. Once I think about the example with the windows, everything makes much more sense. It made me think about other possibilities that metaphors can be related to. However, I do not know if this is necessarily true for all metaphors. I just hope I will be able to think of another metaphor for every metaphor.

“I love this!” I think that is such an interesting way to look at the situation as a dandelion. I would have never thought of a dandelion in that sense before. Whenever I think of dandelions, I always just think to myself they are so poofy and they just float wherever. However, I loved how it was compared metaphorically in this scenario giving it the range of circumstances which compared to actual range in distance. The orchid example took me a little bit longer to understand, but I believe what it means is it is comparing it to “narrowness” by the actual flower itself and that it does not spread out as much when the seeds drop. It can be again relating to distance.
