Galen’s makes his argument saying that narratives do not make up who you are. He explains key details that talk about the times that he felt he was experiencing the world and that his own personal story did not influence it. I agree to some extent, and to an extent I do not. I feel that there are ways to view things having it not be your own story, but other things, I feel like it has to come from your own story. I believe everything happens for a reason. If it is not your own personal narrative, then what exactly is it? I think you can have multiple components to your identity, but I personally fo not believe you can have more than one. In my opinion, if you have multiple, “Identities”, then there has to be attributes that are fake. Instead, I view it as multiple personalities that can make up your one true identity. I see myself as a singular self with many values and personalities. I understand where Galen comes from, however, I view the world as all in one category.

I completely agree with you and every way that you broke this down. You very clearly stated what you thought and how you feel, great work. Found one typo but that’s not really a big deal. Good job being able to voice your own opinion on this topic!

I feel the same way about Galen: some agreement and disagreement. I think what he was trying to get is that not everyone sees life as stories. Many other’s might, be he personally doesn’t. I would wager he isn’t alone there either. When it comes to identities, I believe what you said is what Galen meant.
